Cubicle designer admits, "They may have been a mistake"

Here’s an interesting article I found on Fortune Magazine. Apparently the designer of the “cubicle” concept admits that they (the cubicle) may have been a mistake. Not meant as a way to cram more people into smaller spaces and “institutionalize” the workplace, the cubicle has sadly become a part of the working society. While we may wish to escape the confines of the cube and the rat-race that is so synonymous with it’s design, they have become such a fixture of the workplace, that I doubt we’ll be free of them anytime soon.
